Q: What makes Mantel House unique?

A: We only focus on marble mantels and fireplaces, so your pieces get our complete care and attention.  We fabricate missing pieces, repair original ones, restore them by really working magic with stone and nobody else devotes the time and attention to do this.  We take pride in restoring beauty back into homes with character, charm, and unmistakable quality.  It's a collaborative, personalized experience between us and the buyer - like a private jeweler that creates bespoke pieces just for you. The mantels become part of a home's most enviable and memorable elements, putting design and craftsmanship front and center. 

 

Q: Do you provide discounts to the trade?

A: Yes.  We offer a 15% discount to the trade for mantels priced above $10,000.

 

Q: Can we see your mantels in person?

A: Yes, our commercial space is in DC by appointment.  We work out of a marble fabrication shop so it gives us further capabilities to serve our growing DC community.

 

Q: Do you buy mantels?

A: Yes.  We specialize in antique marble mantels only.  

 

Q: Do you ship outside of the United States?

A: Currently we do not have capabilities to ship outside of the contiguous 48 states.

 

Q: Do you sell anything other than mantels?

A: We occasionally have antique mirrors for sale and are hoping to expand to other products in 2023. 

 

Q: Do you sell the cast iron components separately?

A: We do not at this time.

 

Q: Do you help with gas and electric inserts?

A: We can make recommendations on styles and models we have worked with.
